Yamaha RX-V1 Receiver

The Yamaha RX-V1 is the successor to the infamous and highly regarded DSP A1.

Listed below are the new and improved features over the DSP A1:

  1. Dolby & DTS EX (matrixed rear center with power amp)
  2. RS-232 Interface
  3. Enhanced DSP modes
  4. Integrated Tuner
  5. Component Video Switching
  6. Improved Remote
  7. Improved DAC's on all Channels (Burr-Brown 96KHz/24bit)
  8. More Robust Power Supply

While incorporating many of the same features of the DSP A1 as listed below:

  1. High quality wide bandwidth amplifiers (110 watts / channel @ 20Hz-20KHz .015% THD, 8 ohms)
  2. Low Impedance Drive Capability
  3. 7 Channel DSP processing
  4. Superb Bass Management
  5. Dolby Spec A Standardized

As you can see the RX-V1 means business with its massive 20lbs high current power transformer and large heat sink area for the discrete output devices.

The RX-V1 uses some of the best internal components, including high voltage, low ESR Audiophile grade capacitors on the power supply section as illustrated below.

With a copper plated bottom cover and shielded chassis, you can be assured that the RX-V1 will be free of power supply hum and external noise interference, leaving the listener with the cleanest and most noise free audio quality available today in a single box chassis.
